If that moisture hits the internal wiring, you get a “burn out.” It’s a quick trip to the trash bin. To stop that, we use heavy-duty gaskets and sealed junctions. It keeps the guts of the machine bone-dry, even when your bathroom feels like a sauna. Then there’s the fog. You’ve seen it on mirrors, right? It happens to heaters too. When droplets build up on the quartz tube or the reflector, they act like a shield, blocking the heat from actually reaching you. We added a special surface treatment to keep the optics clear. You get the full blast of warmth immediately, without a layer of water getting in the way. Keeping the water out We didn’t just “hope” it would stay dry. We built these to a specific IP rating, which is basically a fancy way of saying they can take a beating from shower spray. The biggest weak point is usually where the power cord meets the chassis. We sealed that tight. Without that seal, dust and moisture mix together inside the reflector to create this nasty sludge that eats through the metal. Our design keeps that mess from ever starting. One quick tip on installation Since we’ve sealed everything up so tight to keep water out, the heat has a harder time escaping the housing. Because of that,**give the unit some breathing room.**Make sure you follow the clearance guidelines when you mount it. If you cram it too tight against a wall or ceiling, the internal temperature can spike, which isn’t great for the timer or the thermostat. At the end of the day, we wanted these to be simple.
