Introduction
We built this halogen heating element for one reason: the food service industry. You know the drill—cabinet sterilization needs intense heat, right now. This thing is made to deliver that instantly. Think about food display cases that need to be sanitized fast, without waiting around for a slow heater to warm up. It gets the job done.
The Inside Story
At the heart of it is a high-wattage halogen lamp, wired straight to a 400V connection. That’s how it pulls the serious power needed for sterilization temperatures. And it’s compact—about 300mm long. So it slips right into tight display cases without forcing you to redesign the whole unit. It’s fast. Seriously fast. We tuned the power output so it hits target temps in seconds, not minutes.
What It’s Made Of
We wrapped the halogen filament in a quartz tube. Quartz handles the shock of turning on instantly, and it stays steady even when things get scorching. Inside, a halogen gas fill keeps the filament from burning out. It actually redeposits evaporated tungsten, which extends the life and keeps the light consistent. The R7s connector is a no-brainer choice. It’s a standard two-pin ceramic base that handles high current and heat without melting. You can wire it up on the shop floor and be good to go.
Why It Works for You
In a food display case, the whole point is to kill bacteria quickly during cleaning cycles. With this element, the cabinet hits sterilization temperature almost immediately. That speed means shorter cleaning cycles and more throughput. Here’s the catch: it generates heat. A lot of it. The high power density means the cabinet or fixture around it needs proper cooling or ventilation to keep ambient heat in check. So, you get the performance—just make sure the rest of the design is ready to handle the heat.
